The Tree Worker Tree Climbing Course is a personalized, hands-on training experience designed to teach the essential skills required to safely climb trees using a Moving Rope System (MRS), formerly known as Doubled-Rope Technique (DdRT). This course is available by appointment for up to 3 students, allowing for individualized instruction and attention. This course is almost identical to our BTCC but is geared includes work specific techniques for those working in trees with chainsaws and pruning saws.
On Day 1, students will be introduced to the technical skills necessary for safe tree climbing. This includes an in-depth tree assessment process, where students learn to evaluate trees for climbing suitability. The day also covers safety protocols, climbing gear, and the basic principles of MRS.
Day 2 focuses on practical, guided climbing exercises with direct instructor support. Participants will refine their climbing techniques and practice applying the MRS in real-world scenarios. Emphasis will be placed on safety, comfort, and technique, as well as personalized gear recommendations tailored to each participant.
We assist each participant in creating a tailored shopping list for climbing gear, ensuring that their equipment is suited to their specific needs and promotes safe, effective climbing. Our expert guidance will help you select the right ropes, harnesses, carabiners, and protective gear.
