This August, join Vertical Voyages for private guided multi-pitch trad climbing in two of the Northeast’s premier destinations: Adirondack Park and the Shawangunks. All trips are led by Jon Richard, AMGA Certified Rock Guide and owner of Vertical Voyages. With thousands of routes climbed across the U.S. and internationally, Jon brings deep experience, local knowledge, and a client-centered approach to every day out.
Leave the heat and humidity behind and discover cool temps, clean granite, and expansive views in the Adirondacks. This region is perfect for climbers with some experience who are ready to explore longer, more committing trad climbs in a wild setting.
Climbing in the Gunks is offered through Mountain Skills Climbing Guides under their permitted access. Just two hours from New York City, the Gunks feature steep, juggy trad climbs and clean gear placements—ideal for newer multi-pitch climbers and experienced followers alike.
Please Note: A Mohonk Preserve climbing pass is required. You may purchase your own or add $20 per person per day for Vertical Voyages to provide access.
Vertical Voyages specializes in low-ratio, personalized guided climbing. Prior climbing experience is recommended for all multi-pitch outings.
Ideal for longer or remote objectives like Wallface or Panther Gorge.
Climbers are responsible for their own climbing gear, transportation, and lodging. Adirondack Park is approximately two hours north of Albany International Airport.
